Vincent Capozzi joined Harvard Pilgrim in April 2001 as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  During his 20 years in the New England health care marketplace, Capozzi’s track record of sales achievement through multiple distribution channels earned him a reputation for transforming challenges into successful performance outcomes.  As Harvard Pilgrim’s sales and customer service leader, his priority is to consistently exceed customer expectations by offering value-added insurance solutions and superior service.  In support of this commitment, he introduced a set of service standards that guide Harvard Pilgrim’s relationships with employer customers. He developed first-to-market products such as Best Buy and SmartSpend, and he developed and implemented the “New Partnership Model,” which engages employers and Harvard Pilgrim in a way that ensures the value of a health plan is maximized.

Before joining Harvard Pilgrim, Capozzi led the Sales and Marketing department as part of the senior executive team at Connecticare, Inc.  He was an integral player in repositioning the company, as well as setting the strategic direction for its turnaround and increase in market share.  He’s also held leadership positions at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts and Bay State Health Care. He began his career in health care at Harvard Community Health Plan, which later merged and became part of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.  In 2003, Sales & Marketing Management Magazine named Capozzi as one of three national finalists for Sales Professional of the Year.

Capozzi holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Suffolk University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts.
