Strong Women, Strong Girls

Rhea Beck has worked in the non profit community for over a decade. In her previous role, she served as the Director of Listen Up! Youth Media Network, a program aimed at engaging young people in underserved communities through media making. While there, Rhea grew the organization’s membership network from 10 locations across the country to 120 organizations globally. Listenup.org also became the premiere location of youth made media online.
While at Listen Up! Rhea also acted as a senior producer to youth made documentary series, aired primarily on PBS.  She also served as a producer of The Beyond Borders documentary series for the Independent Film Channel which earned her the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award for Excellence in Broadcasting in 2007.

A graduate of the storied Hunter College, Rhea has also served on a number of Boards, among them the Manhattan Neighborhood Network, the country’s largest public access station and currently on the Board of Dress for Success Miami, where she currently fills the role of Secretary/Treasurer. She is also the proud parent of a very vivacious three year old daughter, Tennessee Beck.
Rhea is a passionate advocate of young people, and is delighted to bring her expertise in youth programs to Strong Women Strong Girls as its South Florida Executive Director.
