Deborah Ellinger is president and CEO of Ideal Image, the largest chain of medspas in North America, providing nonsurgical cosmetic procedures through 130 centers across the US and Canada.
FDA-cleared and rigorously tested, Ideal Image services are performed by registered nurses and other medically trained professionals. Services include laser hair removal, CoolSculpting fat reduction, injectables like Botox and Juvederm for wrinkle reduction and facial enhancement, and other services that improve physical appearance and enhance self-confidence.
Prior to arriving at Ideal Image, Ellinger was President and/or CEO of three separate private-equity backed companies, including The Princeton Review, Restoration Hardware and Wellness Pet Food. All three companies were highly successful investments, yielding substantial returns for the private equity partners and positioning each company for growth and profitability. Ellinger previously held executive positions with CVS Pharmacy and Staples, and was a partner at The Boston Consulting Group. She began her career with Mellon Financial Corporation.
Ellinger is also the Lead Independent Director of iRobot Corporation (NASDAQ:IRBT), and sits on the board of The Commonwealth Institute, a non-profit focused on women’s leadership issues. Previous board memberships include Interpublic Group (NYSE:IPG), National Life Group, Sealy, Inc. (NYSE:ZZ) and several private companies. Ellinger is a sought after speaker on a diverse range of topics including Working with Private Equity Firms, Middle Market Growth Strategies, and Women’s Leadership.
Born in the UK, Ellinger is a graduate of Cambridge University in England where she studied mathematics and law. She was an officer cadet in the British Army and qualified as a barrister-at-law in London, as a member of the Inner Temple. Deborah is married with two daughters.
