Giordano is a results-oriented senior executive with demonstrated experience in entrepreneurial, corporate global companies and nonprofit organizations. She is a driven personality with the rare ability to motivate individuals and organizations by focusing on tactical execution while supporting long-term strategic goals. She has a unique combination of “nonprofit expertise and passion” grounded in 30 years of proven corporate experience in the Technology industry. Sherry was recently recognized by Miami Dade County as a recipient of the 2011 “In the Company of Women” award for her work. She is honored to have been named as one of the recipients of the National Academy Foundation Advisory Board Champion award, July 2011.
Sherry is the CEO and co-founder of S.F.T.G. Associates, Int’l., a business consulting firm founded in 1999, committed to assisting nonprofit organizations and commercial companies in realizing their goals of growth and organizational strength. Sherry’s expertise is proven in strategic and tactical business planning, new program development and program assessment, establishment of mission critical partnerships and alliances, and change management as to its impact on organizational effectiveness.
In July of 2005, ITWomen, a nonprofit organization, appointed Giordano as its Executive Director. In this position she launched and manages the “ITWomen’s Role Model Speakers Program”. Her responsibilities include securing program grants, Partnership and Program management, and overall oversight to ensure organizational sustainability.
The Commonwealth Institute retained Sherry in 2007 as a facilitator for their Advisory Board program, offering female entrepreneurial executives and CEO’s a virtual Board of Directors.
In 2008, Sherry’s firm, S.F.T.G. Associates, Intl was awarded the coveted Miami Nice, capacity building engagement. Sherry’s role was to offer Technical Assistance and to provide coaching and guidance to the awardees through the process of building capacity. The firm was selected to participate again in through 2011 with an expanded role. In 2010, S.F.T.G. Associates, Intl was engaged by the GoBuild Capacity, Nonprofits First, Palm Beach, a similar program implemented in Palm Beach County that is on-going.

Giordano holds a Bachelors degree in Business from Stephens College, Columbia, MO and attended Oxford University, in England, her Junior year. She continued her education by completing courses in Marketing for Non-Profit Organizations at Radcliffe College, Cambridge, MA.
She is the immediate past Chair for Miami Dade Academy of Information Technology (AOIT) Advisory Board, and past Chair of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce Business & Education Committee. She has also served on the Miami Dade College CIS Advisory Board. Giordano has just been named to the NAF Advisory Board Leadership Council and currently sits on the Miami Dade and Broward County AOIT Advisory Boards and is the Vice Chair of the National Academy Foundation South Florida Tri-County Advisory Board.
